Choosing a shape
Why the blade.
The blade is the shape to pick if your stroke arcs and you want to feel it. A compact head with nothing behind the ball lets the face open and close with your hands, so the putter follows the path you are already making — the reason blade players say they can aim one without thinking. Of the three it is also the most talkative: strike it out of the middle and it tells you so.
